RICCARDO ROSA
PRESIDENT OF UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE AND FONDAZIONE UCIMU
Born in Legnano (MI) in 1963, Riccardo Rosa graduated from scientific high school at San Celso Institute in Milan.
He is president of ROSA ERMANDO Spa, a world leading manufacturer of grinding machines, founded by his father Ermando in 1964.
For more than a century, the Rosa family has been active in the metalworking industry, from the foundation of the first workshop in 1890.
For over 20 years, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, where he was director and vice-president. From 2020 to 2024, he held the position of vice-president.
During the Members’ Meeting 2024, he was appointed president of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE. He is also president of FONDAZIONE UCIMU, the non-profit organisation of UCIMU, operating as an institute for economic and scientific research, in-depth cultural study, development, promotion and support to Italian manufacturing enterprises of machine tools and production systems.
Since 1998, the year the company was established, he has been vice-president of CIMU, Consorzio Italiano Macchine Utensili (Italian Machine Tool Consortium), which controls SATURN, a foundry for iron castings for machine tools, taken over in 2000.
Since October 2015, he has been the representative of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE in the General Council of FEDERMACCHINE, the federation representing Italian manufacturers of capital goods, of which he has been vice-president since 2019.
Since 2022, he has been a member of the Italian delegation of CECIMO, the European Association of Manufacturing Technologies, and, since the beginning of 2024, he has been Chairman of the Technical Group.
Riccardo Rosa is married and has two children..
